Annual Leave Calculator
Calculate your annual paid leave entitlement under Korean Labor Standards Act.
How Korean Annual Leave Works
Under Article 60 of the Korean Labor Standards Act:
1. Under 1 year: 1 day per month of full attendance (max 11 days)
2. 1+ years: 15 days per year
3. 3+ years: 1 additional day every 2 years (max 25 days)
Formula: 15 + floor((service years - 1) / 2), capped at 25 days
Why your result looks this way
- Under 1 year: one day accrues per month of perfect attendance, up to 11 days in the first year.
- 1 year and over: 15 days accrue if you attended 80%+ of the previous year, plus one extra day every two years from year 3, capped at 25.
- Expiry and payout: leave expires one year after accrual, but unused days must be paid out (at ordinary wage) unless the employer properly ran the statutory usage-promotion process — and any balance is settled in cash when you leave.
